Funny how everyone loves the skimpy female outfits, but there's all sorts of complaints when the males have light armor.

So true.

How many armor sets do the Assassins and Ritualists have?
13.
How many were we shown during the previews?
3-4.
You have seen barely anything of what the Paragon is going to get in Nightfall. Look at armor sets like Druids, one is full body, but the 15k is all skin. The chances of there being at least a couple full body, or at least less skin sets is very high.

First off as other people have said you can't wear full armor in the desert and Paragons are a mix of roman and african. The armor fits perfectly. Besides the girls have to deal with always being nude and they don't complain.

/signed... sort of
I get the fact that these guys are in the desert, but it would be nice if their shirts covered their stomachs. I really don't think that would be too much too ask.
And honestly, the Dervish armor is more like what people actually wear in North Africa anyways. Bedouins don't wear skimpy clothes because it's hot; they are covered from head to toe. I'm not a fan of the Paragon look, but I guess I'm in the minority.
And like Solar_Takfar said: there is no resemblance to Roman Legionaire armor. If Paragon armor did look more Roman, that would be pretty nice.

Ranger
Less armour against ele
Less armour against physical
2 Handed weapon
Paragon
More armour against ele
More armour against physical
1 Handed weapon
Yeah sure... because that works.

Are you smoking something?
Rangers have a base 70 and +30 vs ele attack +15 vs specific element
Cathan armor also has a set with +10 while in stance, with Dryders defense rangers can go over 180 armor against ele attack.
The only thing Paragons have over ranger is the base, which can be countered with Sentry armor base 70 +30 vs ele +10 while in stance
Paragons have a base 80 and +10 vs ele and +10 vs specific elememnt.
Face it these new guys got nothing

I believe the paragon armor should not even be 80, first of all its mostly a support class. Another large reason is that it is a ranged fighter. Why would a ranged support role class need 80 armor in the first place. I believe that it should be more like 70 armor, and the dervish 60 armor.

/not signed, there is nothing wrong with the look of the armor, but it should be more along the lines of warrior armor, same goes to dervish

Umm how do memser armors like enchanters armor give anything at all. Also how does glads armor give 80 armor when you can stuick a sword right in the stomach because nothing covers it...
You have really no case in comparison with the other armors. I myself am already saving up for Paragon Obsidian armor because i love the class and the armor i think its awsome.

honestly i dont see anything wrong with it, like som1 said, try wearing a full plate in the desert, i give you less than 15 mins of life...
besides ranger base armor=70 and its like leather and stuff
paragon is a lil heavier and its 80, looks fine to me (not to mention rangers monster bonuses against elemental and the stances.. warriors got 100 physical base+good armor boosting skills and stances)
bw any1 checked spears range? (really didnt have time to play it yet..)
oh and dont think warriors armor should be seen as 80+20 against physical, but as 100-20 against elemental (most cases)
they wear heavy stuff, just wouldnt be so effective against fire melting you inside...or a lightning all over your metal armor...or ice doing the oposite of fire (brrrr) maybe hearth since it could be considered physical dmg, but then again, fill the empty spots in your armor with loads of sand or stuff like that and you would move like a rock lol..

Granted, bedouin wear all sorts of clothes, but those cloths are robes made of very light, breathable material, in an exceedingly dry heat. Their clothing is more meant to hold moisture than to protect from heat.
The Paragons aren't wearing full robes, but what they are wearing is a combination of leather and metal plate. NOT desert clothes. Besides, the things are slightly more than human, remember. The Paragon is just that - an icon of Elonian culture. Impressive counts for more than practical here

/signed....the paragons look like they're wearing female aeromancer skirts. They're supposed to be ANGELIC, not look like fairies.
for those who said it matches the theme....roman warriors/spearmen look like this....
Do you see a sparkly semi-transparent skirt with a huge opening in the front? No. I didn't think so. I wouldn't mind the Paragons looking like that.

Ill agree that the armor avalivable is sort of feminin especally for todays standard. Its the most man hoeish outfits ive seen yet.
But its pretty cool looking too. In fact, there armor is much more "lovely" than just about anything else in the game, imo.
I can go with the flow with the elona culture.
Im just glad that while looking androgenous they do so looking absolutly FABULOOOOUS! lol
by the way, the idea that armor protects how it looks is extemely loose in gw costume design

TOTALL UNSIGNED
I enjoy looking at my Para, thank you, and if you want a shirt that completely covers, look at the third armor choice. It covers the tummy all the way :P
I like the armors ANET, and for the guys complaining.....they're probably going to make girls to oogle at anyways. Let's do the girls (and gay guys) a favor!
Also...they look holy, and pretty, and heavenly, and whatnot. I think it suits the characters just fine. I just get so angry when so many people complain about this...and ignore the Glads armor on guys O___O At least the Para is HOT, not BIG AND UGLY.
Plus...my Mesmer could use a boyfriend xD
MY ONLY CHANGE would be their underwear. It's like...lacy O_O
